The Indy Ignite is catching fire in Fishers. The newest addition to central Indiana’s already strong lineup of professional sports teams is delighting audiences during its inaugural season, and the fast-paced action isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Indy Ignite volleyball“Ignite is a verb — an action. It’s a name that captures the nature of our mission, while emphasizing the bold athleticism of our sport,” said team co-owner Jim Schumacher. “In the coming year, we look forward to building a team worthy of this powerful name, bringing together world-class players and passionate partners to create an unforgettable experience for our fans.”

Capitalizing on the Caitlin Clark effect, the climbing support for women’s sports, and Indianapolis’ strong club volleyball legacy, the Ignite's Hamilton County season kicked off on Jan. 11, 2025 and runs through May (provided the team makes it to the championship game), covering 14 home games all told.
