Beautiful grounds, lush gardens, pretty pathways and a peaceful pond are what you’ll find when you visit Oliver Winery in Bloomington. It makes the perfect backdrop for a romantic picnic - and there’s even tables and Adirondack chairs for seating if you don’t want to spread a blanket out on the ground.
Guests to the winery can make their way into the tasting room to try sips of different varieties at the counter or you can get a glass or flight to take out on the patio, which has a lovely view of the grounds.
You can also purchase a bottle and make your way down the path to find a spot to pull out your picnic basket. While outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted, guests are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy with the wine and spend some time picnicking on the beautiful property.
While they don’t serve meals in the tasting room, they do have a cooler that has gourmet meats and cheese and you can select crackers, chocolate or other snacks and create your own little pairing.
You’ll find a large variety of wines in their collection - from dry whites and reds to semi-sweet and semi-dry to dessert and sparkling wines. Try out a few of their more unique wines, like the Blueberry Moscato, the Camelot Mead or the Cosmoberry.
