Fuzzy Zoeller, Visit Indiana Golf Fuzzy has been recognized as one of golf’s greatest legends for decades, and now he has been awarded a brand new honor. He was recently named Indiana’s Top Golfer, a distinction that proves that he is one of the sport’s finest players and confirms his life-long connection to his home state. As a professional golfer, Frank “Fuzzy” Zoeller won ten PGA Tour events, including two major championships. He is one of three golfers to have won the Masters Tournament in his first appearance in the event. He also won the 1984 U.S. Open, which earned him the 1985 Bob Jones Award. But it is not just his pro career that makes Indiana proud. Fuzzy is also a top golf course designer who has designed four courses in his home state. Each hole at Timbergate Golf Course has five or more bent grass tee beds to vary the yardage of the course from 5000 to 7000 yards.
