Visit Indiana Golf is highlighting the best 18 golf holes from 18 different public golf courses across the Hoosier State. Hole 7 on Indiana’s Signature 18 is found on the Brickyard Crossing Golf Course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This course is located on the west side of Indianapolis.
The Brickyard Crossing Golf Course was voted “One of Americas Top 100 Golf Courses” by Golf Digest and Golfweek. The course features 4 holes inside the oval and 14 holes adjacent to the backstretch of the racetrack of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Designed by well-known golf course designer, Pete Dye, this course is one out of only a few courses in the country to host LPGA, PGA and Championship Tour Events.

The 7th hole, the first hole inside the Speedway’s infield, is a par 3 that is played from a perched tee to a raised green. From this tee, there’s a 360-degree attention-getting view of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. From the 7th tee, you can see Gasoline Alley, and you get to travel underneath the speedway track to reach the tee box.
The Brickyard Crossing Golf Course is one of seven different courses on Indiana’s Pete Dye Golf Trail. Pete Dye is considered one of the greatest golf architects and he called Indiana home.
