Battle Ground Golf Club
Initially designed by Robert Simmons, and then renovated by world-renowned golf course architect Tim Liddy, Battle Ground Golf Club resides on 160 acres that neighbor the natural beauty of Prophetstown State Park in Battleground, Indiana. This course features wide, bent grass fairways, sizable greens, thick rough, and strategically placed bunkers. Water comes into play on three holes on this course, and it requires the full attention of golfers as they make their way through. The open feel of the course provides a chance to recover from every shot. Battle Ground is designed to be playable for golfers of all skill levels.
Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex
The Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex is located on the campus of Purdue University. The golf complex is the home to two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Kampen Course and the Ackerman-Allen Course, as well as a first-class golf training center. It hosted the 2008 NCAA Men’s and the 2003 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships. The Kampen Course was designed by world-class golf architect Pete Dye and is an 18-hole, links-style, par 72 course featuring large bentgrass greens, fairways, and tees. Known as one of the most difficult golf courses in Indiana, the vast sand bunkers, native grasslands, ponds, and natural celery bog present a challenge for golfers of all abilities. The Kampen Course is rated as one of the top collegiate courses in the nation and has been awarded 4.5 stars on Golf Digest’s “Places to Play.”
