With a wide variety of performance venues, Brown County attracts a diverse lineup of musical acts across all genres.

A Nashville fixture since 1949, the historic Brown County Playhouse maintains a cozy 425-seat theater for an intimate viewing experience. The entertainment schedule covers everything from national touring artists and tribute bands to live theater and film screenings.

A newer addition to the scene, the over-2000-seat Brown County Music Center opened in 2019 with Vince Gill as its inaugural performer. The contemporary concert hall is now a popular spot to catch widely recognized bands, solo performers, and tribute acts.

Best known for its annual summer and fall festivals, Bill Monroe’s Music Park and Campground in adorable Bean Blossom stands as a lasting tribute to the “Father of Bluegrass.” Attendees often bring their own RVs and tents to make a whole weekend of it.
For something a bit more casual, settle into the tiered seating to sip a cocktail and enjoy some al fresco tunes on the weekends at the outdoor stage of Hard Truth Distillery. While you’re there, make sure to take a tour of the facility and sample some of the friendly spirits!

Get into the act by hitting the dance floor at Mike’s Music & Dance Barn, a country-leaning venue boasting a winning mix of music, dance, food, and community.
Many bars and restaurants in downtown Nashville and throughout Brown County also host live music on a regular basis—the 19th Hole Sports Bar at Salt Creek Golf Retreat, The Ferguson House, Firebird Tap House, Rafters Food & Spirits, The Nashville House, Story Inn, and Artists Colony Inn, to name just a few. Simply follow your ears to a good time!
