If you’re a big fan of that beloved Hoosier sandwich, the breaded pork tenderloin, it’s time to plan a visit to Winamac to visit a place called One Eyed Jack’s. The restaurant is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, and since day one, they’ve been serving up the sandwich that made them famous - the 12-ounce, hand-cut, hand-breaded pork tenderloin sandwich served with the toppings of your choice on a large toasted bun. It is coated in a crispy tempura-like batter that gives it a nice crunch.

When you order the Jumbo Tenderloin, it is served on a bun with the crunchy tenderloin spilling out all around. So, my suggestion is to bring someone along and order the “Deuce” Tenderloin. For an extra buck, you get a second bun, and you can share it with a companion. Even with two people, we were unable to finish ours, so I brought some home.

They have multi-page menu a full menu page of just tenderloins and you can get a number of signature versions with different toppings or you can also customize it the way you like it. Regular toppings include lettuce, onion, tomato, pickle and mayo. You can add on different cheeses, avocados, bacon, eggs and more.

With the tenderloin you get a side of fries or tater tots and you can upgrade to another potato choice for an extra charge. You can also add a soup or salad to your sandwich for an uncharge and the soup is a must. They make all of their soups from scratch or typically have three soup choices and a chili. They even offer a chili flight where you can try three, along with a grilled cheese or breadstick.

They also have an appetizer I’ve never seen on a menu before - the Tenderloin Bites. Think chicken nuggets or popcorn chicken - but bigger and filled with tender pork pieces. It's like a tenderloin; you don't have to cut or hold it between bread. They serve it along with their zesty Jack sauces, which is perfect for dipping.
