Linden House, the estate of late Indianapolis philanthropist Christel DeHaan, made headlines when it sold in 2022 for $14.5 million, the highest price in Indiana real estate history. Now the new RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) has set up shop inside, allowing curious shoppers the opportunity to finally get a look around the prestigious Michigan Road property for themselves.

RH Indianapolis – The Gallery at the DeHaan Estate opened in November 2023 after months of anticipation. Calling this just a hardware store is a huge disservice — with high-end galleries of textiles, furnishing, lighting and décor, the RH company has repurposed the 151-acre grounds and 60-room Palladian villa as a full-fledged hospitality destination.

Walking through these luxury digs is like visiting a museum accented with internationally sourced art pieces, antiques and artifacts on display throughout to complement RH Interiors, Contemporary, Modern and Outdoor collections.

RH Indianapolis The Dining Room restaurant

If you work up an appetite oohing and aahing at the lifestyle installations across the east and west wings, the Dining Room restaurant in the airy grand ballroom space proposes a nicely curated menu of fancy continental-style salads, starters and main dishes for a bespoke lunch or dinner.

You’ll also want to drink in the views of the 35-acre private lake, gardens and forested landscape outside with glasses of Napa Valley’s finest from the Calacatta-gold marble Wine Bar and Terrace.

RH Indianapolis is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, visit RH.com.
