About Racing Memorials IN Indiana

The Motorsports Circuit IN Indiana was created to provide race fans and motorsports enthusiasts with a comprehensive site for all things speed and racing IN Indiana. Just as important as the tracks, races and special events are, so is the way Hoosiers celebrate this amazing racing heritage and all that it means to the state.

The Indiana Racing Memorial Association’s mission is to recognize the historically significant individuals, events, locations, and racetracks that have made Indiana the "Racing Capitol of the World". Through a collection of markers that honor all of Indiana’s racing heritage, the IRMA has done just that.

In addition, a special self-guided tour at the historic Crown Hill Cemetery highlights the drivers, car, and track owners that have made a significant impact on the sport IN Indiana. Over sixty people associated with the motorsports industry are buried at Crown Hill Cemetery and their contribution to the sport is included in the tour.  This is a can’t-miss for any race fan traveling to Central Indiana.

The importance of motorsports to Indiana is honored through many prominent and historical installations around the state.  As an addition to a weekend of racing or as a day trip to see a special track, the memorials and markers throughout the state can add that little piece of history to your motorsports experience IN Indiana.
